Each side of a sheet counts as one page, so a book’s cover alone includes 4 pages: front cover, inside front cover, inside back cover, and back cover.
Binding-Specific Page Counts:
The binding method you choose will influence the page count range:
Perfect bound books are not designed to lay flat when opened. Forcing them to do so can damage the spine and weaken the glue holding the pages together. To maintain the book’s quality and durability, avoid pressing it down.
Pricing reflects the cost of one edition only per book. If you need additional editions or multiple covers, this requires a custom quote.
The listed pricing is for portrait orientation soft cover books only. If you’re interested in hardcover or landscape formats, please request a custom quote.
Coated paper has a smooth finish that visually sharpens images and enhances color. The coating can be glossy or semi-gloss, depending on the desired effect, but both options contribute to a polished, professional look.
Uncoated paper has a natural, porous surface. It’s perfect for projects where readability and a tactile feel are priorities. It’s also a practical option for items that need to be written on, like letterheads or notepads.
If your project includes color anywhere – even a single image or logo – it’s a 4-color (4C) job. Our standard pricing is designed for 4C printing, providing vibrant, professional results fast.
Single-color (one-ink) printing is available by custom quote and may offer some cost savings, but 4C remains the most common option. If you’re unsure, we are happy to talk with you to determine the best options for your unique printing needs.
Once PDF proofs are approved, production can take approximately 3 days for saddle stitched publications and roughly 3-5 days for perfect bound, plus shipping. Shipping times vary from next-day delivery to a few days, depending on your location relative to our NYC print house.
If you need a precise timeline, send us your project details, and we’ll set up a schedule that works for you.
Before submitting your file, double-check that it’s set up correctly to prevent any prepress delays:

When tackling large printing projects, offset printing often delivers the best results. At Thomas Group Printing, we harness over a century of expertise, servicing some of the world’s most innovative companies.
Although offset or lithographic printing is a long-standing technology, it remains a superb choice for producing high-quality, crisp prints at substantial volumes, perfectly suiting the diverse needs of Orlando’s booming industries.
Thomas Group Printing offers premium offset printing services tailored to meet any large-scale printing need.
Whether it’s crafting detailed visitor guides for attractions or producing extensive healthcare manuals, our dedication to quality and efficiency ensures your printing projects stand out.
Our offset printing process allows us to handle substantial print runs economically, making high-volume projects more affordable.
The initial setup cost for creating printing plates and configuring the offset press is offset by the lower cost per piece as the quantity increases, providing significant savings over digital printing for large orders.
Offset printing, also known as lithography, involves transferring an image directly onto a printing plate from a digital file. This modern direct-to-plate or computer-to-plate method enhances precision and speed.
The images are usually set in CMYK colors, and we recommend providing your files in this format. The inked images are then transferred from the plates to a rubber blanket and finally to the printing surface, resulting in sharp and vibrant prints even at high volumes.
Offset printing is versatile, ideal for producing a variety of materials including reports, catalogs, magazines, posters, and books.
This method is especially beneficial for orders over 2,500 units; it’s commonly used for annual reports, marketing brochures, and comprehensive guides due to its cost-effectiveness for large batches.
The capability to use large paper sheets not only allows flexibility in product size but also the addition of full color, spot colors, and various coatings to enhance the product’s durability and appearance.
We offer a range of finishing options post-printing, such as saddle-stitching, folding, and binding to meet specific project requirements.
